Adaptability of Art

Its been over one year since corona has affected our lives.

One year ago we were working from home, and doing our best to cope and adapt.
It’s really interesting to see how others have adapted as well.

Since then, we have switched to using online outlets to our advantage. With livestreams, youtube series, and zoom lessons. It makes art much more accessible to everyone!

A few weeks ago I was browsing twitter and someone shared a BCC video about an American High School that had a creative solution for their orchestra practices. Each student was placed in individual tents or “pods”. The tents allow the students using wind and brass instruments to use their instruments without the need for a mask. The students are able to hear each other, and play as before.

I laughed at the ingenuity. It was an effective solution, but it looks very silly. I am very happy that no matter where we are in the world, the arts will find a way to survive.

While reading through the article, I was shocked to see it was my birth city!
Here is the video of the students!
